Dr. Adams mentors entrepreneurs entering our competitions and shares his knowledge of how universities support regional tech-based economic development. His research focus is on the history of how academic institutions have supported the development of vibrant startup ecosystems, including notable profiles of Stanford University and Silicon Valley, as well as the effectiveness of shared leadership models.

AI and Digital Entrepreneurship Mentor @ the Rommel Center

Dr. Chao Miao provides mentorship and advising to entrepreneurs and students related to the areas, such as AI in entrepreneurship, crowdfunding, international entrepreneurship, business model development and evaluation, feasibility analysis, ideation, and the psychology of entrepreneurship. He has strong experiences and passions for teaching and advising student entrepreneurs to get prepared for entrepreneurship competitions and their future entrepreneurial and professional careers. Dr. Miao is an award winning, influential scholar in the fields of entrepreneurship and management. He is a productive scholar and published his papers in numerous high-impact, top tier journals and book chapters. His research has also been presented in numerous international and national conferences. He serves as an Associate Editor and an Editorial Board Member for a series of high-impact, top tier entrepreneurship and management journals. He is a recipient of 2017 Citation of Excellence Award due to the impact of his research. He also received 2022 Franklin P. Perdue School of Business Faculty Research Award.
